Hot melt adhesive on textiles

Hot melt adhesives used in the textile industry must have good bonding strength, excellent flexibility, and water washing/dry cleaning resistance. In addition, since most of the fabrics are subjected to steam treatment during the setting process, the glue is required to be resistant to high temperature steam, its softening point must be higher than 115°C, and it must have an appropriate degree of crystallinity to improve the thermal stability of the glue.

1.    Fabric Paste---Hot Melt Adhesive

Using bonding instead of sewing can greatly reduce the labor intensity of making clothes, and the made clothes are fine, fit, strong and firm. The hot melt adhesives used for fabric sticking mainly include polyamide, polyamide and polyurethane, etc.

2.     Lining Fabric Processing---Hot Melt Adhesive

The bonding interlining is made by spreading hot melt adhesive evenly on the surface of the fabric. When in use, the adhesive interlining cloth is cut into the required shape and size, and the side coated with hot melt adhesive is hot-bonded with the back side of other fabric materials (fabrics). It is lining the inner layer of the clothing, as the skeleton of the clothing, which simplifies the processing technology and time of the clothing, and makes the clothing light, beautiful, comfortable, shape-retaining, washable, and durable.

3.    Carpet Adhesive---Hot Melt Adhesive

The basic materials of hot melt adhesives for carpet adhesives are mostly copolymers of ethylene and other vinyl monomers, such as ethylene-ester acid ethylene copolymer, ethylene acrylate copolymer and so on. In most cases, ethylene is used. Vinyl acetate copolymer (EvA).
